What is the Point of Eco Friendly Promotional Pens?

Prodir DS3 Eco Pens

The Prodir DS3 Eco Pen - A smooth writer with lots of print area.

Why do people purchase eco friendly promotional pens?

They are certainly popular business gifts – requested often and used to promote businesses at exhibitions, conference, direct mail campaigns and in house.

I have read so many blogs and advertisements promoting the fact that you can show your customers how environmentally conscious you are by using eco pens.

What? Such statements are absolutely ridiculous!

Promotional gifts – whether they are eco friendly or not – are made to promote. They are simply a means to an end and that end is to get promoted and increase our profits.

If we can use promotional pens to that end then they have done their job.

There is no doubt about it that logo printed pens work. Many studies have shown this. If you are environmentally conscious, then you can choose one of the many promotional pens that are manufactured from recycled material or are biodegradable. Many are manufactured to very high standards – some are not.

At the end of the day, if you decide to use eco friendly printed pens, you want to choose one that is manufactured to write a long time and that you can trust to write smoothly.

Would you want to use a pen – eco or not – that is difficult to write with? Chances are, such a pen would be in a landfill biodegrading before it had a chance to do what you want it to do: promote your business and increase your profits.

If you like the idea of using eco friendly promotional pens, I can highly recommend the eco versions manufactured by Senator Pens, Prodir Pens and Lecce Pens. There are many others so it time allows, ask for samples and decide which is best for your business.

Senator Pens actually manufacture all of their plastic promotional pens with 20% recycled plastic. Senator is a very environmentally conscious manufacturer. They are the manufacturer of one of the world’s most popular eco friendly pens, the Super Hit Eco which is 95% recycled.

Lecce produce the budget EnviroStick pen which is 100% biodegradable. Prodir have begun manufacturing their popular DS3 pen with biodegradable material.

The key to success with any promotional pen campaign is to take your time, request samples and ensure you are happy with the pens you are considering ordering.

Check the colours which could be different to the pictures online or in catalogues.

Write with the pens and ask your work colleagues to do the same. Generally speaking, if you like writing with a pen, your customers probably will too.

The Promotional Senator Super Hit Pen is a First Class Budget Gift

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

There is really only one way to hand on heart recommend on promotional pen over another and that is to write extensively with it. I have been in the promotional pens business for over 20 years and I test all of the pens I sell. Today I am testing the very popular Senator Super Hit Pen.

Every day I write four blogs consisting of around 3000 words. I used to do this by simply typing and posting but now I write them in freehand first with a different popular promo pen every day. I hope to give you the information you need to purchase the perfect promotional pens for your business.

The truth of the matter is, you cannot go wrong with a Senator Super Hit pen! The Super Hit is Senator’s best selling, most popular plastic logo printed pen. It is popular because it offers a huge print area for your logo and contact details and it writes very smoothly.

The promotional Senator Super Hit is a no nonsense pen that just keeps on writing. In fact, the pen I am using today has been in my desk for what must be two years! Talk about a promotional gift with staying power!

These promotional Senator pens do exactly what Senator promises. They are a budget pen with style. You can give them away by the handful knowing that they will surely catch people’s eye especially if you use Senator’s mix-n-match service.

Try the mix-n-match option if you have three weeks before the pens are required. With this service you can choose from a wide selection of barrel and clip colours. For example, if your company colours are green, white and yellow, you could ask for 500 green barrelled pens with white clips and 500 yellow barrelled pens with green clips. Print them all with the same design to save money and you will have an exciting selection of promotional pens that look like they were made with your company in mind.

The Senator Super Hit features a large capacity plastic refill which explains why they write so well. You can choose from the Senator Super Hit basic or opt for the translucent Super Hit Icy, the Super Hit Eco. These popular promotional pens can even be printed in full colour to really bring out your message.

Today I wrote over 3000 words with Senator Super Hit – four blogs and a lot of note taking and it wrote as if it were a much more expensive pen. These pens are great for promoting your brand at exhibitions, direct mail campaigns or just to have in your office or shop to give away to customers.

Did you know that plastic pens will change owners five times on average. Think of the exposure your brand could receive!

So what are you waiting for? Ask for a few samples of the promotional Super Hit pen today in your company colours, request a personalised visual and see for yourself why Senator is one of the most popular promotional plastic pen brands worldwide!

I love promotional Senator Pens!

Quite Simply the Most Eco Friendly Pen in the World

Pens made from recycled Tetra Pak Carton

These eco pens are actually manufactured out of Tetra Pak cartons!

Are you looking for eco friendly promotional pens? Did you know that many promotional pens that appear to be eco friendly are about as eco friendly as a poisoned trout. They are manufactured out of plastic products that were never used in the first place.

One good example is the recycled CD case pens that are all the rage these days. When was the last time you recycled your CD cases? When CD cases are manufactured there is a percentage that do not work or break in the manufacturing process. These are the CD cases used for these ‘recycled’ eco pens. They never served any useful purpose and they are not biodegradable.

That is why I get excited when a truly eco friendly pen hits the market. I know how important it is to many of my customers that they promote their brands with eco pens. The EnviroStick pen is such a pen. In fact, it is currently the world’s most eco friendly pen!

It is manufactured out of used Tetra Pak cartons. You know the cartons that contain products such as fruit juice and long-life milk. I could get more scientific but that would be boring for too many. The main thing you need to know is that the trim, barrel and even the refill are manufactured from post consumer waste and they are also biodegradable.

The only part of this pen that is not recycled is the ink itself!

The EnviroStick pen is available with a white or black barrel and a choice of popular cap colours. The EnviroStick pen is manufactured by The Lecce Pen Company. It is a budget pen which writes well for what it is. If you are looking for higher quality eco pens that are also manufactured out of post consumer waste, you should have a look at some of the other pens on offer by Lecce.

The Re-Pen Stick Ballpen is a good alternative as it is also manufactured from post consumer Tetra Pak cartons but they do not have the recycled

The EnviroStick Pens

Manufactured with 100% post consumer waste!

refill yet. The EnviorStick is currently the only pen in the world that has a recycled refill.

You will also not be let down by the EnviroStick’s print area. There is a massive 45mm x 18mm print area on the barrel but it is only suitable for one colour imprints.

This could be a minor inconvenience for some and completely rule out using the EnviroStick for others.

Those of you who have multi coloured logos but still want a pen manufactured out of large amounts of recycled goods, I can recommend looking at the Biologo ballpen, the Biosense ballpen and the Biostick. Each of these are available worldwide and are manufactured out of recycled newspapers.

You may also be interested in looking into the large selection of pens that are now being manufactured out of cornstarch. These pens are manufactured out of corn and look and feel like plastic. They are also biodegradable so they will decompose when their writing life comes to an end.

Have you had any good or bad experiences with the pens recommended in this article. It would be great to hear your thoughts and experiences so please feel free to leave a comment.

EnviroStick Eco Friendly Promotional Pens are Among the World’s Most Recycled Ballpens

Thursday, August 19th, 2010
EnviroStick Pens

Go on... ask for a sample of one of these eco friendly pens!

If you want to promote your business as being eco friendly, don’t just purchase any eco friendly pens!

Some of the most popular eco pens are hardly ‘eco’ at all. Take, for example, the Bic Digital Ecolutions pen. The pen looks great but it is only 37% recycled.

Now you may have looked into promotional eco pens before and been told that there is no pen available that is 100% recycled. True – but the EnviroStick is manufactured completely out of recycled Tetra Pak cartons. The only part of the pen that is not recycled is the ink. That makes sense, doesn’t it? The EnviroStick is in fact the world’s first and only promotional eco pen that has a recycled refill.

The EnviroStick is made by The Lecce Pen Company, a world leader in the manufacture of top quality promotional plastic pens. Their innovatively designed and smooth writing promotional pens have made the Lecce name famous in the promotional merchandise industry.

Have I got you interested? Then read on…

You know all those plastic and aluminium Tetra Pak drinks cartons that contain things like fruit juice and long-life milk? Well Lecce and Tetra Pak have worked closely together for quite a few years to develop a moulded material called EcoAllene out of cartons that were once considered to be waste.

That is as technical as I am going to get here but put simply Lecce is now manufacturing a range of pens, including the EnviroStick out of these recycled plastic and aluminium cartons and the results are amazing.

You can choose either a black or white barrel with a choice of cap colours. The cap fits onto both ends of the pen and has a small hole at the top to make it child safe. It is available with black or blue ink and can be printed with your logo in one colour on the barrel. there is a nice large print area of 45mm x 18mm.

So go ahead and imagine your next promotion with these truly remarkable eco pens. Whether that promotion is at a trade show or a mail campaign, your customers will get to know you for the environmentally conscious person you are. You could even go one step further and present your new pens in attractive recycled Tetra Pak wallets. Pens presented in stylish wallets really look the part!

So what are you waiting for? Give these promotional pens a try. Order a sample and write with it for a while. This may be a budget pen but it writes like pens that are substantially more expensive.

Do you have any questions? Have you used eco friendly pens before to promote your business or organisation? Perhaps you have tried the new EnviroStick Pen and would like to share your own review with others. You can do just that right here so please leave a comment.

Eco Friendly Promotional Pens-The New Craze!

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Have you ever written with a recycled plastic pen? They have really come up in the world lately.

Promoting your business with eco friendly pens is hardly going to save the planet but it is an excellent way to show your commitment to ecological issues. Before you jump into placing a large order for corporate eco pens, however, let me offer you a bit of information that could help you choose the right pens for your marketing.

Not all eco friendly promotional pens are as eco as you may think.

The Bic Digital Ecolutions pen, for example looks fantastic and writes smoothly just as you would expect a Bic pen to write. It is, however only 37% recycled.

Other Bic ‘Eco Friendly’ pens are manufactured with a little more recycled plastic but they are by no means 100% recycled.

In contrast the barrel of the popular Senator Super Hit Eco Ballpen is manufactured with a whopping 95% recycled plastic. This is about as good as it gets.

Look around and you will also be introduced to pens that have been manufactured from vegetable products. These are all biodegradable and will therefore decompose if you decide to stick them in your flower garden. If you use them as they are meant to be used they will still discolour over time as they slowly but naturally decompose.

If you don’t want this to happen, don’t purchase biodegradable pen.

I actually had a customer who contacted me almost two years after she purchased biodegradable pens to complain that they we decomposing. For best results, keep the pens in the boxes they are shipped in until you are ready to use them.

Wood is one of the most natural products used to manufacture pens. There are some very attractive varieties that you should check out. Some are top quality wooden gift pens where others are attractive budget eco pens. Try to ensure that the wooden pens you purchase are manufactured with wood sourced from well maintained forests.

Always consider where your eco friendly pens were manufactured. Recycled plastic pens manufactured close to where you do business will be much more ecologically friendly than pens manufactured thousands of miles away. Consider the fuel needed to transport Chinese manufactured pens to Britain. If using ecologically friendly products is important to you, purchase pens that do not need to travel long distances to get to you.

Eco pens are the new craze. As they become increasingly popular many more new designs will hit the market. You owe it to yourself to see what is out there.

So then, what are your thoughts? Are you considering using promotional eco friendly pens in your next marketing campaign? Perhaps you have found a pen you really love and would like to share? Is there any information about promotional eco friendly pens you would like me to write about? Please leave a comment.
