One such business comes to mind. I was recently contacted by the owner of a sandwich shop that traded near Ingleby Berwick, the UK’s largest housing estate. Many of the shop’s customers are builders who stop by regularly for lunch. As there are many restaurants in the area, competition for the builders’ lunchtime trade is intense.

The lead in the pencils is wide and flat instead of circular like normal pencils. The core is also harder than standard pencils so that carpenters can write on rough surfaces such as cement and wood. As the lead is flat, they can also write thin lines or fat dark lines simply by turning the pencil.
