The Zig Zag colour range

Promotional plastic pens are the backbone of the promotional merchandise industry.

You don’t need to look very far to find a good selection of promotional plastic pens. They are everywhere. In banks, restaurants, retail outlets and gyms, these promotional items are there for the taking.

Why do you think that might be?

The reason is obvious… Promotional plastic pens are a proven way to successfully promote your business, organisation, church or club. They literally get your logo and message into your target customers’ hands.

Some promotional plastic pens are more popular than others which means you will come across them more often. These are the good quality pens that offer an excellent return on the advertisers’ investment.

Others are not very good quality and I tend to stay clear of them.

Still others, are new on the market and also offer exceptional value for money. These are the promotional plastic pens that you might like to consider while they are still new and stylish for the times.

I would like to introduce you to the new Zig Zag pen.

Before promoting a pen at promotionalpens.co.uk I always write with it first. I test it for quality while considering also how much it costs.

The Zig Zag pen wrote exceptionally well for a low cost plastic pen. I invite you to request samples so that you can see for yourself. The pen is attractive and therefore eye-catching. It has a large print area of 40mm x 20mm for your logo and details.

No it doesn’t write as well as more expensive plastic brand name pens such as Klio, Prodir and Senator Pens but for some large marketing campaigns or organisations on a tight budget, they could be perfect.

Zig Zag pens are available with a white barrel and a choice of six striking trim colours. The ink colour is black.

I am really excited about the new Zig Zag pen and have therefore decided to offer it at special low prices for the foreseeable future. Ask for a sample today and see if it is the right pen for your next marketing campaign!

Why Do Promotional Pens Get Such Amazing Results?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

Of all of the promotional tools available today, promotional pens are certainly the most popular. The overwhelming success of the promotional pen–particularly when compared to the success of other promotional products–can be attributed to one simple fact: everyone needs a pen.

Regardless of a customer’s income level or employment, a pen is regularly needed and always unobtrusive. Where most promotional products,

such as puzzles, stuffed animals, and plastic novelties are more than likely going to be cast off into the trash immediately, good quality personalised pens are useful to a consumer in both their personal and professional lives.

The key is to know your target customer. For businesses with large customer volumes, such as hotels, restaurants, and banks, a large quantity of printed plastic pens will be your best bet. We all know how easy it is to stuff a pen in our pocket after signing a restaurant check or filling out a bank deposit slip.

As a business, you can take advantage of that tendency toward ultra-petty theft by ensuring that there are always quantities of your printed pens around. Additionally, remind your staff that whenever a customer asks to borrow a pen, simply telling them, “You can keep it,” can be a highly effective way of circulating your company’s logo to a new group of potential customers.

While promotional plastic pens can be a great idea for certain business sectors, they are not always the best option. For businesses that deal with smaller bases of higher-end clientele, the use of a plastic pen may be seen as cheap, and reflect negatively on your business’ image.

For businesses of this sort, engraved metal pens and even executive gift pens may be a better option. While these pens are more expensive per pen, a smaller customer base may even the cost gap. When dealing with a high-end clientele, a single high quality pen given to the right individual can be a priceless asset.

In a business environment where image is everything, the good quality pen is the one that will be kept and carried the most. In the right hands, an engraved metal or executive pen can be a potential conversation-starter about your business every time that pen is used, allowing your name and logo to reach countless other high-end clients.

Good quality plastic pens can do the same.

Additionally, pens can be given to employees as an award or incentive, providing both a token of appreciation for your staff and one more opportunity to increase brand awareness.

The Promotional Full Colour Abacus Pen Is Put to My 3000 Word Challenge

Abacus Pens

Full colour digital print around 360 degrees around the barrel!

Yesterday evening I sat down, picked up an Abacus pen and began writing. I hadn’t intended to do so but happened upon the same pen being promoted on a competitor’s website. This inspired me to sit down and give it my 3000 word test.

Having been in the promotional pens industry now for twenty years I know the importance of getting to know each and every promotional pen that we sell. This is the only way I can hand on heart recommend one pen over another. I test different promotional pens daily to really get to know them. In doing so, I hope I can give you the information you need to find the best promotional pens for your business.

It was with this in mind that I decided to write about ten pages with the Abacus pen. My company uses these excellent quality budget pens for our own marketing. The Abacus has only been around since early 2010 but it offers the possibility to promote your brand in full colour all over the barrel.

The Abacus personalised pen looks fantastic and it writes even better! It offers a smooth writing quality that is rare in a low cost Far East manufactured pen. There is a massive 39mm x 91mm print area all over the barrel that can be printed in full colour with amazing results.

Now sit back and imagine your next promotion. Perhaps it is at a trade show where your competitors will be exhibiting as well. How are you going to make your business stand out? How are you going to make your brand really shine?

Try this… Look at your exhibition stand and catalogue cover. Chances are a lot of time was spent in their design. Why not use parts of these

designs to print onto your promotional pens so that they match. Can you see how eye-catching that would be?

Your pens could make your exhibition stand! Abacus pens are metal push button pens with a metal clip and nose cone. They look like top quality pens and after writing over 3000 words with the pen I can assure you they write like a top quality pen should.

Would you like to see what all the fuss is about? Why not request a few printed samples. Write with them like I did. I am ashamed to admit that I have been using these promotional pens to promote my own business for over six months but did not actually test them until today. I am so glad I did!

You are going to love the Abacus promotional pen!

Promotional Pen Questions-How Do I Get the Best Value For My Money?

Friday, September 3rd, 2010
The Airy Digital full colour printed pen

The Airy Digital full colour printed pen can even be printed full colour on the clip.

Promotional pens are an excellent way of getting your logo and company details into your customers hands and minds. Whether you are looking for low cost plastic pens or executive metal gift pens you need to know what you are looking for to get the best value for your money.

Before letting you in on what you should do, let’s take a look at some of the not so good advice I have seen in articles, blogs and other media.

Order From The Large Corporate Promotional Gift Companies

This advice is often seen written by, you guessed it, the large corporate promotional gift suppliers. Most of these companies built themselves up before the internet was around. They sent out thousands of brochures and catalogues which smaller suppliers could not afford to do.

One of these large companies ceased trading in the UK this year and rumour has it quite a few are not doing very well.

Why? Because all promotional gift suppliers are now working on a much more level playing field. You are much more likely to get better service and prices from the smaller internet based, tightly run promotional gift suppliers. Many bring in their own range of pens and print them in house. A lot of the owners of internet based suppliers used to work for the larger promotional gift supplier and have learned from experience how to run their businesses better.

How could the large dinosaur gift suppliers of the past compete with that?

Let’s look at it another way. If you purchase a quantity of promotional Parker Jotter pens from one of the larger suppliers you will pay more. They have higher over-heads and will continue to be more expensive unless they can downsize very quickly.

This is proving to be easier said than done.

Leave it all to a Sourcing Agency

Many companies still leave the sourcing of their promotional pens to sales promotion agencies. This is a very expensive chain of supply. Any good promotional gifts supplier should be able to help you with any design issues and sourcing at a fraction of the cost.

It is so easy to find promotional pen suppliers online these days that it is unbelievable these agencies still handle promotional product sourcing for their clients.

I have actually been told on many occasions by agency staff that they want to purchase pens that they can mark up 100%. Don’t fall into this expensive way of purchasing promotional pens!

Keep You Design Simple

Simply keeping your design uncomplicated will not necessarily get you the best value for your money! Yes it is often cheaper to print in one colour on the barrel but pictures sell better than mono coloured worlds and logos. The best pens can be printed in multiple colours and even in full colour.

So then, what should you do to get the best return on your promotional pens?

Shop around for price
Ask for samples and compare quality
Look for pens with large print areas so no one need squint to read your message
Look for pens that can be printed in multiple colours if your logo looks best in colour
Take some time to test your samples before placing an order.

It is really that easy. At the end of the day you are looking for excellent results more than you are a pen! A company that can offer you your dream – your perfect promotion – is the company you should use for promotional pens and gifts.
