Promotional metal pens

The new and stylish Knightsbridge metal pen.

The world of executive promotional metal pens is certainly changing! You can now purchase really good quality metal gift pens like the twist action Knightsbridge ball pen quite inexpensively! If you are looking for a mid range metal pen for around the £4.00 mark, then read on…

The Knightsbridge pen is new to our range of executive metal pens and it is already proving to be a major player. It is heavy and tends to stand out as the quality in the crowd as the executive pen that it is. It features a leatherette barrel with a lacquered metal finish.

I’m sure you can see from the picture that it is a lot of pen for the price.

When I mentioned that it sells for around the £4.00 mark, that was for small quantities of 100! As with any promotional pens, prices go down the more you purchase. We just sold 2000 to a customer for only £2.50 each!

The Knightsbridge has a high perceived value. It is not a brand name pen so you get a lot of pen for your money without having to pay extra for the brand.

If you like what you see in the picture here, then be sure to check out the Knightsbridge ball pen for yourself. We will happily supply samples so that you can write with and test these magnificent value pens for yourself.

These innovative promotional metal pens can also be supplied boxed which adds to the presentation and makes it a really eye-catching and stylish gift. Promotional metal pens like the Knightsbridge are perfect gifts for employees and top clients that will be appreciated and valued for a long time.

There is a rather small print area to the side of the clip. This is common in promotional metal gift pens.

When people receive a gift pen of this calibre they do not usually want a large logo screaming out at them. A small logo or web address will help your customers remember who gave them the gift while retaining the elegant style that is the Knightsbridge!

If you would like more information about the Knightsbridge gift pen or if you would like to see a sample, please contact us today on 01642 782455.

Introducing the Promotional Balmain St Martin Pen

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

So I’m sitting in my office a few days ago when I get a phone call from a panicking customer. She’s been invited to attend and speak at a blogging conference. She wants to leave the 50 business people attending with a nice pen and a conference folder. In her business as a professional blogger and instructor she knows the importance of having a good quality pen and pad to hand to jot down ideas when they come to her.

She wants to spend about £25.00 per person and she would like the gifts to make a big impression. The attendees all have the potential to become big clients and she wants to ensure they remember her.

I begin by emailing her pictures of some of the well known brands like Parker, Cross and Waterman but nothing jumps out at her.

Then I send here the Balmain St Martin ball pen and she falls instantly in love with it.

Balmain pens were designed by the fashion icon Pierre Balmain. Pierre Balmain became an elite haute couture trendsetter after his depute on the world fashion seen in 1945.

Now you can purchase a large range of his famous pens baring his trademark name to promote your brand to your special clients and employees.

The Balmain St Martin pen is manufactured in brass. It is black and has silver trim. Like all Balmain gift pens it is also presented in a Balmain gift box. This is important. Many gift pens are not supplied with gift presentation boxes. Personally I think that giving away pens in a presentation box looks much better than just handing someone a metal gift pen on its own. Do you agree?

Having chosen her pen of choice it was time to find a matching folder. That was not a difficult job. She did not have a lot left in her budget so she went for a bonded leather folder that, being black, matched the pen very nicely.

Bonded leather is reused leather that has been cut up and reformed. It is less expensive than other leather and has the added bonus of being recycled which means it is eco friendly.

I recommend asking for a sample of the Balmain St Martin pen. Samples should be free of charge from well established promotional pen suppliers as long as they are returned in good condition

Would you like to hear another bonus of using Balmain writing instruments to promote your brand?

Balmain refills write very smoothy across the page. When the refill does eventually run dry, your customers can easily order new refills or just nip down to their local stationery store and purchase a Parker refill. Parker pen refills can be used in Balmain pens. They fit perfectly and help ensure that your gift is used for many years, promoting your brand all along the way!

The Lamy Dialog 2 Pen Gets my 3000 Word Test

Lamy Dialog 2

Lamy Dialog 2 - Check out the special clip at the side that retreats back into the body of the pen when in use.

I have now tested quite a few Lamy pens and I get a new surprise with each different style. The Lamy Dialog 2 is a truly elegant executive metal pen that oozes style. It was developed by Lamy and designed by the famous Danish architect Knud Holsher. It is also at the higher end of Lamy’s gift pen range with a starting price of around £100.00. If you are looking for a Lamy that is less expensive check out our complete selection of promotional Lamy pens.

The Dialog 2 pen is supplied in a card box that holds a cloth wrapped wooden gift box. The light coloured smooth wood gift box is branded with the Lamy logo and looks and feels very high quality. the wood box clicks together with a magnet mechanism and gives the recipient of the pen the impression they have just received a very special gift.

The Lamy Dialog 2 is quite heavy as a good quality gift pen should be. It is completely palladium coated and looks fantastic. The popular rollerball has an innovative twist mechanism that your employees and customers will love.

When the rollerball is in use, the clip retreats into the the body of the pen. Twist the mechanism and the ink rollerball refill disappears into the body of the pen while at the same time, the clip sticks out from the barrel.

You may know that cap less rollerballs are quite rare but Lamy has created this cap less rollerball and developed it to true perfection. As the clip is only usable when the refill is withdrawn into the pen, there is very little chance that it will ruin any nice shirts. Lately I have noticed that this is a popular feature of a few of Lamy’s rollerballs.

Lamy Dialog 2 with wooden case

The Lamy Dialog 2 with its top quality wooden case.

Today I have written five blog posts, approximately 4000 words with this Lamy rollerball pen and I could honestly keep writing. I would find it difficult to recommend other executive pens when I know how nice and stylish these Lamy pens are!

The ink flows smootly onto the paper. It leaves a nice thick line that is characteristic of good rollerballs. If you like rollerballs you are going to love this pen!

Each Lamy pen is quality checked before being despatched so you can feel quite confident that your gift will be in perfect condition.

Have you ever written with a Lamy promotional gift pen? They are all manufactured to the highest of standards and many of Lamy’s gift pens like the Dialog 2 have gained cult status in the UK and many countries in Europe. Ask for a sample and you will see why!

Promotional Engraved Pens for Christmas-Important Information for Perfect Promotions

Engraved promotional pens

At promotionalpens.co.uk we specialise in engraving promotional gift pens

Have you ever received an engraved executive gift pen? Promotional gifts do not come much better.

Engraved metal gift pens promote brands like few gifts can. Pens are needed and used daily. Metal executive pens are usually kept for years promoting your business all along the way!

As Christmas is quickly approaching, I want to give you a few tips along with some valuable information about what to consider when using good quality metal pens as Christmas and end of year gifts.

Promotional executive pens have been popular Christmas gifts for clients and employees for decades. In the old days this was done by a high speed rotating cutter that achieved magnificent results. This high quality engraving process was usually followed by hand-filling the engraving with an infill colour: this process was a true art in itself.

The main problem with these traditional engraving machines was that they were quite slow and setup times were long. This made engraving promotional metal pens a timely and expensive process.

Nowadays, laser engraving has become the norm. Laser engraving has improved immensely in the past few years. You should ask for a sample to see the quality for yourself as you will not be disappointed!

There are some major advantages to laser engraving pens.

  • The engraving process is much faster
  • Laser engraving is perfect for fine detail
  • Setup times are faster and therefore less expensive
  • Small and large orders can be accommodated

So whether you are buying promotional engraved pens for the masses or just a few top customers, laser engraved pens will work perfectly. It is important to note, however, that with laser engraving you are limited to the base colour of the pen though the engraving can be blackened on some pens if necessary to achieve the best results.

While you are considering what to engrave on your gift pens, I would like to leave you with some design advice.

One of my customers took months to choose his metal pens and design for engraving. Unfortunately he did not discuss the design with me first and we had to make some quick last minute changes.

When engraving, you need to try to keep your designs quite simple and in line of site. You do not want to have a design that wraps around the pen because it is not possible. Always check the engraving area before going to work on your design and you will save yourself time and money.

Have you ever given away engraved executive pens for Christmas or another event? How did it go? Why not share your experiences or thoughts by leaving a comment.

Executive Metal Gift Pens for Top Clients

Monday, August 2nd, 2010
The Popular Lamy Pur Pens

The Lamy Pur Pen is just one of hundreds of nice executive pens offered at discounted prices at promotionalpens.co.uk.

Try this… Next time you are sitting across the table from one of your key customers, hand them an engraved metal pen in a luxury gift box. You may have already considered doing this at one time but were scared off by the price. Let’s face it, brand name executive metal pens can be expensive but they can also be purchased in small quantities. If you target 25 of your top customers with executive pens you will score a few points and your engraved or printed gift pen will continue to sell your brand for a long time to come.

If you are looking for top brands, you will want to look out for Waterman, Parker, Cross and Lamy Pens. Each has its own distinctive style and you will need to decide which will best promote your business. If time allows, you may wish to request samples of your top three and write with them to see which you really prefer. The three samples you purchase could then be given away to your top employees.

All of these name brand pens come in luxury branded gift boxes as standard. Some are also available as sets. If you choose to purchase pen sets, ensure you purchase Ballpen, Rollerball sets unless you know for fact that your customers use mechanical pencils regularly. People are more likely to use pens than pencils.

If you are on a tight budget you could also look at generic metal gift pens. There are a lot of good quality generic and little known brands out there that could do the job. Brands such as Senator, DeVinci and Rotring are all possibilities. If you go down the route of the lesser known makes, ensure that the gift pen is supplied in a gift box. They do not always so their lower price can often be deceiving. Pens presented in a gift box look fantastic and really make the pen something special.
