Promotional Contour Pens

Promotional Contour Pens are a UK best seller! We sell them for less.

Did you know that one of the least expensive ways to promote your business is with promotional gifts?

It’s true – many studies have looked into the effectiveness of promotional products and statistics show they get excellent results for relatively little spend!

This is especially the case with promotional pens which are both useful and portable. Good quality logo printed pens will literally get your contact details and logo into your target customers’ hands.

Promotional pens have a proven track record with companies in almost every business sector. From restaurants hoping to promote their location to IT companies selling their wares and services, printed logo pens get the message out.

If you are on a tight budget, you will be happy to know that there are literally hundreds of good quality budget pens available. Notice I stressed ‘good quality.’ There are also a lot of bad quality budget pens on the market that could do you more harm than good.

I therefore always encourage people to ask for samples and test pens before placing an order.

Promotional plastic budget pens are very popular at exhibitions, trade shows and conferences. I could recommend hundreds of generic plastic pens that are of excellent quality. If you are looking for name brands, you can’t go wrong with the pens manufactured by Prodir, Senator, Lecce and Bic.

If you are looking for executive gift pens for your top clients and employees, check out the range of pens manufactured by Lamy – a personal favourite. You could also go more tradition and look into top brands such as Parker, Cross and Waterman.

Most promotional gift pens are supplied in presentation boxes but not always.

I think nice gift pens look better presented in a nice case so you may want to confirm that your gift pen of choice does before placing an order. Of course, presentation cases, if not supplied as standard, can be added to your order.

There really are so many nice pen to choose from. It would not be possible to describe them all here in one article. Take some time to find the best online and by all means compare prices.

Promotional pen suppliers with websites dedicated only to pens are usually going to offer the lowest prices on the most popular pens.

If there is one bit if advice I hope you take away with your, it is that you really test your samples pens. Pass them around the office to your work colleages and get their input.

If you really like a pen, chances are your customers will too.

Promotional Gift Pens are Perfect Gifts for Writers

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

I started the day with a bit of writer’s block. It happens often and it usually means I really need to stretch my imagination to get my daily promotional gifts blogs out. But not today.

I visited one of my favourite article marketing submission sites, EzineAricles, and was hit right away by their logo. I must have seen it hundreds of time but today it hit me. The logo reads EzineArticles and has an illustration of a fountain pen. A

s I write this article it is the busy Christmas season and promotional fountain pens are selling like crazy. Something made me dig a little deeper.

I went to Google and typed ‘writers’ into the image search field.

Just as I predicted – and even in our modern times where everyone who is anyone uses a computer daily – all of the pictures were of pens. Each and every picture for the keyword ‘writers’ was of a pen. There were fountain pens, ball pens, rollerballs – you name it – they were all there.

This is significant if you are considering gifts for your top clients and employees. Chances are you do not want to give everyone – nor can most afford to give away free computers. But promotional pens are and always have been very popular promotional gifts.

We live in a very interesting time to be in business. You may have employees who have gone from being on reception to being your company blogger. Many of you will have customers who are fighting their way out of the recession by blogging daily about their products and services.

More often than not they will be typing their blogs into their own computers. Oh how times have changed!

I remember back in 1984 when I went to university. Back in those days, most students did not have nor did they know how to use a computer. I actually wrote all of my essays by hand and paid a typing agency to type them for me so that I could hand them for grading. Do typing services even exist any more?

The point I am trying to make – perhaps a bit long winded – is that we all still think of the pen when we think of writers or for that matter writing.

From well known logos to images on Google, the pen is that all important part of the writing experience. Even if it is not used to write the majority of our day to day work any more, the pen is still used every day to jot down notes and messages.

I cannot thing of a better gift for a top client or employee than a promotional metal gift pen. There are hundreds of options out there from Parker to Cross to Lamy.

If you have a customer or client who writes daily – even on a computer – the perfect gift for that person will be a promotional metal gift pen.

Think about it… Wouldn’t you like to be given one?

How about Placing a Promotional Sentinel Pen in Your Christmas Cards

Friday, November 19th, 2010
Promotional Sentinel Pens

Promotional Sentinel Pens start at around £1.25 each.

Do you send Christmas cards to your customers every year? Many companies do as it is a great way to keep in touch and to thank them for their loyalty and support over the year. Sending Christmas cards is an excellent way to strengthen relationships but why not go one better this year? Have you seen the Sentinel Metal gift pen?

Sure there are many different promotional pens that you could send out with your cards but today I would like to focus on an old favourite. The Sentinel Metal Gift Pen looks fantastic and writes even better.

Sentinel gift pens are manufactured in aluminium and have an eye-catching lacquered finish with a nice comfort grip.

Sentinel gifts pens feature a push button mechanism and you have a choice of blue and polished silver finish or a matt silver and polished silver finish.

There is a nice large print area for your logo and details of 40mm x 16mm.

They look great printed but you can also have them engraved for that extra touch of class. The great news is that engraving doesn’t really add much to the price. It’s more of a personal thing. If you have a pantone you would like printed then print is the best. If a nice engraving is more your style than go for it!

As with most good quality gift pens, promotional Sentinel pens can be supplied in a gift box for added luxury and better presentation.

You will have your choice of inexpensive card cases and suede pouches which are perfect for sending through the post. You may even decide to opt for more substantial cases that are better for giving away in person.

One thing that is good about sending a personalised pen with your card is that pens are required daily and they will remain in your customers possession long after the card has been thrown away. I still use a similar pen daily that was sent to me last Christmas by a supplier.

Express printing is rarely a problem but if you are purchasing these gift pens for a special occasion or in time for Christmas you should order early. Lead-times can be longer especially during the Christmas season!

So what are you waiting for? Why not take a look at the Sentinel pen. If you like the look, ask for a sample and get that Christmas time promotion on the road.

3 Ways to Use Promotional Pens as Exhibition Giveaways

Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Promotional pens are the most popular promotional gifts in the UK. They are useful at the office and at home. This offers massive advertising potential. If you are considering exhibiting this year, you no doubt want to increase brand awareness and ultimately your profits. Using personalised logo printed pens will help you to realise this goal. Pens help get the results you want.

In this article I would like to introduce you to three steps you can take to get the most of your promotional pens on the exhibition stand.

Decorate your stand with colour coordinated promotional gifts

So often promotional pens are purchased in a hurry. Last year 72% of the orders placed at promotionalpens.co.uk were from people needing pens in fewer than five days.

Express printed pens are a major part of my business but there are limitations. You will get much better value for your money if you take some time to choose your pens and colour coordinate them with your exhibition stand.

Many pens can be made to order and you can actually select the barrel and trim colours so that they look like they were made with you business in mind.

Use Promotional Pens to Build Your Company Image

Colour coordinating your pen colours is not the only way to make a big impact. To get the best results you will want to really think about your design and find the best pens for it. Many pens can be printed in full colour which could be just what you require. Other pens have nice large print areas on the clip and barrel.

The most important thing to consider if you want to emit a professional and positive impression is to ensure that your pens are good quality. Most promotional pens that can be made to order are – but it never hurts to write with your pen of choice for a while to ensure it will represent your company in a way you want it to be represented.

Give Away Gift Pens to Qualified Guests

I often recommend giving away a special pen to qualified customers. Everyone will get a plastic pen to leave your stand with but those who show real promise can be given something a little nicer.

Send them on their way with a bag full of your company brochures and a good quality Lamy gift pen. Your target customers will love you for it and may just remember you next time they need your products and/or services.

Promotional Products for Promoting Exclusive Holiday Resorts

Sunday, November 7th, 2010

Promotional gifts are available in many different shapes and forms. If you are trying to promote exclusive holiday destinations or a company that deals with that industry you will want to carefully consider which gifts will give you the best return on your investment. These are the good quality promotional products that are both useful and eye-catching.

High end businesses and direct customers will normally expect good quality promotional products. I would like to let you in on one promotional that I was involved with which went down spectacularly well.

I was contacted by an agency who was handling the promotional marketing of a top of the line cruise company.

They were in charge of ensuring the passengers felt welcome and looking at ways the cruise company could make more money through printed promotional merchandise in the ship boutiques and shops.

Again, the best gifts are those that are both eye-catching and useful. My customer ordered good quality Lamy Safari pens and note pads branded with the cruise ship logo. These were placed in each cabin which was a nice touch for the guests.

They also ordered several thousand promotional earthenware mugs. These black mugs were printed with the cruise companies logo in gold. Every cabin had two mugs and a kettle. The free gifts made excellent souvenirs that people could take home with them.

In the shop passengers could purchase similar mugs that were printed with real gold metal. The effect looked amazing. They were sold as single mugs and also as part of a four mug and teapot set. They were extremely popular.

People who pay a lot of money for such dream holidays want to purchase products to remember their experiences. Popular gifts that were also on sale were logo printed aromatherapy sets, good quality embroidered polo shirts, umbrellas, crystal ships decanters and of course executive metal pens from brands such as Parker, Cross and Lamy.

Do you think your customers are the type of customers who would appreciate good quality gifts? You will be spoilt for choice if you look online. Most promotional merchandise is manufactured in the Far East but there are some really good quality gifts manufactured in Europe, the UK and US that are definitely worth checking out.

Don’t be afraid to ask for samples. Even the more expensive promotional products can usually be sent to you for a few days to review. This is a good idea that will help ensure you choose the best promotional products to represent your business.

Are Promotional Lamy Pens Best for Your Business Marketing Purposes?

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

Have you seen the selection of promotional pens manufactured the German pen company Lamy? They are a personal favourite of mine but whether they are right for you is up to your customer personas and what you are trying to accomplish with your promotional gifts.

First let’s look at what you are trying to accomplish by giving your customers promotional products. Sure it would be nice to give them all a stylish pen that they can use but will that pen get you the results you want?

It is so easy to throw money at marketing campaigns in the hope that it builds your brand. Often times people come to me saying they want to send their customers a promotional product with the hope of getting them to register on their website or to sign up for their monthly e-shot.

Although these are good ideas, the ultimate goal is often overlooked: to increase their turnover.

This is what you need to consider when you are choosing top quality promotional gifts such as Lamy pens. Sure handing your customers a nice pen that looks fantastic will get you noticed but will it increase your turnover?

Often the answer is definitely yes! If you have customers who are the top decision makers and you hand them the beautiful Lamy Dialog 2 Rollerball, the gesture will help demonstrate just how much your appreciate them and their custom. This useful gift, engraved with your logo and details, will help remind them of you and your business whenever it is used. In fact, they will probably keep in on their desktop and show it off from time to time.

Most importantly, they will have your details to hand when they next require your products or services.

Now let’s look at another type of customer. Let’s say Rick is the receptionist at one of your best customer’s office. Rick often sends you sales leads and tells new staff about you and the products and services you supply.

Rick types a lot and is just as happy with a good quality plastic pens as he is with a metal gift pen. If the pen writes when he needs it to write then he is happy. For him you may want to look at other good quality gifts that he will use daily that will work as daily reminders of your business.

You may like to give him a large selection of promotional Senator plastic Super Hits pens that he can use and give away to other staff. Note pad, rulers, fabric mouse mats and pen pots may also be great gifts that will get your name and brand in front of the people you deal with daily.

If you are interested in promotional pens then I strongly recommend looking into Lamy pens for those you are sure will appreciate them. Don’t just throw money at people in the hope that they will do more business with you.

Often it is the inexpensive gifts offered regularly and in quantity that work better than the corporate executive gifts like the Lamy Dialog 2 pen.

Choosing the Best Promotional Pens

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

Promotional pens are sure to grab the attention of people of all ages and backgrounds. After all, pens are always in need.

Give out promotional pens and you can definitely get the word out about a group, event, or message in no time at all, especially if you are creative and play around with different designs and looks for these products.

Following are a few tips about how to be unique in your promotional pen promotion.

Before you place an order, take the time to design eye catching and memorable pens. You should always think about the type of pen you want to promote or give away to people.

You my like to look into the many mix-n-match colour options. Choosing the colours of the barrel and trim can really made the pens look like they were manufactured just for you.

Click-type pens and felt-tip pens are as useful as the classic ball point pens. Think about your preferences when you design these promotional items. Would your customers prefer Rollerballs or highlighters?

You may also like to look into the styles and personalisation options offered by the name brands such as Parker, Cross and Lamy.  Some of the top quality pens can even be manufactured in your corporate Pantones.

The look and feel of the promotional pen is what will make it unique. Style is a big part of the look but so much comes down to the colours your choose and what you print on them.

It is also important to consider how you give your promotional pens away. You could give them to people who visit your trade show stand or give expensive gift pens to those who can answer an test question about your product range.

Always think about what you are trying to promote when thinking about how to give out these items. For example, if you are promoting a business, you may want to include coupons with the pens or to give them to people when they make a purchase.

If you are trying to get the word out about an upcoming event or concert, you could bust out limbo stick and give pens to folks who give the game a try.

The important thing is to take your time, plan your event and your pens and the excellent results will come.

Be creative with the design of your promotional pens so that they are eye catching and say what you need them to say. A pen is a useful tool when it comes to promoting or marketing something. Be creative with how you give out these pens so that people actually take the time to look at and save them. Unique promotional pens are an inexpensive investment, which makes them low risk, that is sure to get the job done.

Promotional Gift Pens Make Popular Retirement Gifts

Saturday, October 30th, 2010
The Lamy Dialog 3 Pens

The Innovative and beautiful Lamy Dialog 3 Pen - I love this

Retirement is a huge moment in a person’s life. After years upon years waking for the daily grind, this signals a new chapter in an individual’s day to day lifestyle. This is why it is important to honour and celebrate this moment with those who have reached this milestone.

If you are looking for a memorable gift to celebrate someone’s retirement, you should consider investing in promotional pens. These items are creative, memorable, and something that people will actually use.

Creativity is everything when it comes to giving promotional gift pens as retirement gifts. You can choose a wide range of brand name pens to personalise: everything from the traditional Parker to the new and innovative Lamy – a personal favourite!

Just about anything can be engraved or printed on the pens: from the retiree’s name to a funny saying and the name of their former job or company. Think about whether or not you want a funny or sentimental gift to give to your colleague/friend and also think about the colour and overall look of the promotional pen.

Promotional gift pens are useful, which is why they make such great gifts. Every time a person uses the pen, he or she will think about you and why you gave it to them. This makes it a gift that will definitely be appreciated and hold great sentimental value.

Why not give a gift that people can whip out from time to time than one that will be tossed in a closet and forgotten about? Your number one goal is to honour the retiring friend but let’s not forget that a simple logo on the pen will increase brand awareness with all those who see it.

Investing in this type of gift means that you will go the extra mile to show your work colleagues and friends that how much you appreciate them as a friend and work colleague. After all, once you personalize the pens, you can be sure that there are no other duplicates other than the ones you gave the retiree.

Promotional gift pens are useful and serve as both a gift and as a memento. Who wouldn’t want a pen that says their name or marks an important milestone like this?

Promotional gift pens can be purchased in small quantities. The best pens are supplied in attractive gift boxes. You may which to purchase as small quantity of say 25 and have them engraved for other important people such as top clients and employees.

3 Promotional Senator Pens Used in Three Different Ways at an Exhibition

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Having been in the promotional pens business for 20 years, I have seen a lot of creative and – well – not so brilliant ways of using promotional pens. Case in point was at a recent exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.

I was invited by a friend in the pharmaceutical industry to visit a trade show

Senator Challenger Icy Pens

The Senator Challenger Icy Pen

he was exhibiting at. Call me nerdy but I do like to walk around exhibitions and see how different companies promote themselves.

One of the larger brands caught my attention within a couple minutes of arriving. They had hired about ten exhibition models – women in slightly revealing printed clothing – who were handing out plastic carrier bags and hundreds of promotional Senator Super Hit pens to everyone who dared come near them.

As they did this, the actual company employees just looking on in their more conservative attire and really did very little. As they stood there on the stand, they watched as all their promotional merchandise was carried away by people happy to receive the freebies.

Was this increasing brand awareness? Perhaps.

Was it the best way to promote their brand and make use of promotional Senator pens? Certainly not!

As I continued around the show, I came upon a much smaller firm. There were two men and three women on the stand all wearing matching good quality logo embroidered polo shirts.

They too were handing out Senator pens which was a good choice as Senator is one of the best manufacturers of promotional plastic pens worldwide.

They were using the very popular Senator Challenger Icy Pen in their corporate colours: The barrel was navy and the clip was very close to their corporate green.

The pens were printed in green on the barrel and blue on the clip and I must say they really looked fantastic.

The staff on the stand were actively going up to people who walked by, engaging them and trying to suss out whether they were interested in the products they had on offer. The pens were in plain view for all to take but they were not just thrown away like they were on the other stand.

Often someone would take a pen and then ask questions about the company’s products and services. The pens were doing the very important job of attracting visitors to the stand and encouraging conversation.

Then I noticed the sales reps incorporating another well thought out strategy.

Everyone who came on the stand was able to take a Senator Challenger plastic pen away with them. Those who proved to be more in the position of becoming actual customers were handed the company literature with a large eco friendly jute bag and another pen.

I recognised it immediately as the Senator Solaris ball pen – one of Senator’s most popular gift pens. They made a real show of presenting the pen to their new found target customers by placing it immediately into a Senator gift box and then handing it over to them.

Being given these two additional and very nice gifts helped ensure that they would not be forgotten. The company was building its brand, attracting new customers and sussing out the time wasters from the prospects within a couple of minutes.

Who Needs the Mighty Sword When You Have Promotional Pens?

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Promotional Senator Duo Pen

The Promotional Senator Duo Pen is a UK favourite.

How many times have you wished that you could stick with a prospective client after your initial meeting? Imagine the benefit of being able to remind them of your brand on a regular basis. Better yet, what if you could help them out when they need it most, presenting your company as a reliable provider of everyday solutions?

A good quality promotional pens can do exactly that. One of the most useful promotional materials available, printed or engraved pens are one item that is guaranteed to make it into the hands of your customers on a daily basis.

What’s more, a smooth writing, reliable pen is one item that no one ever throws away. This allows your company’s name, slogan and even logo to remain fresh in a client’s mind long after your meeting is over.

You can even use a pen to remind prospects, not only of your brand, but of your entire sales presentation. Use a pen with your logo to work up a quote, hash out an idea or diagram a concept; then hand over the pen along with the materials. Every time they use that pen, your customer will immediately be taken back to that moment when you presented a solution for their business needs!

Perhaps most remarkable is their versatility. Consider for a moment the wide range of customized pens and their potential uses:

1.The reliable and ubiquitous Bic stick pen is a universally appreciated item. A cup full of them in reception areas or at promotional events is an open invitation for people to spread your company’s name and logo for you.

2.Fun and colorful options from specialty companies like Senator Promotional Group are always a welcome addition to convention gift bags.

3.Large orders of pens sent to doctors’ offices, banks or restaurants have a way of making their way into the marketplace as clients and customers pocket the pens for future use.

4.A more substantial engraved pen from a prestige firm such as Waterman or Cross can lend gravitas and a sense of ceremony to a contract signing and can make a distinctive gift for loyal and lucrative accounts.

5.Promotional pens are even keeping pace with evolving technology as companies like Rely Media offer pens with built in flash drives.

As the world grows more and more hectic, the need to keep your brand fresh in peoples’ minds is more important than ever. With a personalized pen, you ensure that every time your customer encounters something worth writing down, they’re encountering your name at the same time.

That builds positive associations, increases awareness and boosts your company’s visibility. Whatever language your clients are writing in, that spells success!
