The Promotional Lamy Swift Pen Gets My 3000 Word Test

Lamy swift gift pens

The Lamy Swift Roller Ball is a delight to write with!

It’s no wonder the Lamy Swift Rollerball is the third best selling Lamy pen in the UK and Europe. I knew it was going to be a different writing experience from the minute I opened its special gift box. At a starting price of around £25.00 this pen offers excellent value for money!

The pen case looks like a tall wardrobe when it is closed. It has two arrows on it signally that you need to pull the two halves apart which I did. The two sides folded in on themselves and up popped the Lamy Swift Rollerball, safely contained in a specially made pen holder.

Now anyone who has looked into promotional gift pens in the past will no doubt have heard of the Argenta Rollerball and ballpen. These two pens have been popular low cost metal gift pens for years. Few people realise, however, that the design was actually conceived by one of Lamy’s many popular designers.

In case you do not know the Argenta by name, it is the silver, black or navy pen which is featured in most promotional gift catalogues that has about about fifteen decorative holes by the nib of the pen.

The Argenta is one of the most popular gift pens worldwide but it is a Chinese copy of the original German made Lamy Swift pen! It is also substantially less expensive and does not write any where near as smoothly as the real thing.

When I opened the case, the pen popped into view along with foil wrapped brand new M66 large capacity Lamy German made refill. I tore open the silver foil packaging and put the new rollerball refill into the pen.

The Swift rollerball is unique in that it does not have a cap like other rollerballs. The special refill is air resistant and does not dry up like a normal rollerball would. The writing tip simply retracts into the pen using a push button mechanism just like a ballpen.

The clip mechanism is also a very attractive feature.  When the pen is in use the clip retracts into the body of the pen. When you are finished writing and click the push mechanism the clip pops out at the side to use.  This ensures that the user never ruins a nice shirt after forgetting to retract the end.

Personally I love this pen. I have always been a ballpen man myself but this rollerball has changed me. I don’t mean that I will only use the Lamy Swift but I won’t be giving this pen away to friends or family! In fact, I would find it hard to part with any of the top quality samples Lamy so nicely sent me.

Actually writing with one of these pens will show you why together with the unique and stylish designs, Lamy is the gift pen of choice this year!

Today I have written in excess of 4000 words with the Lamy Swift Rollerball. I feel confident that I know the pen better than anyone who does not own one themselves. If you happen to own a Lamy Swift you will know why I like it so much. If you don’t, order a sample and see for yourself what all the hype is about.

Promotional Gift Pens – A Look at the Lamy Pen Brand

The New Lamy Dialog 3

The New Lamy Dialog 3 retractable fountain pen - This is allready proving to be a huge hit!

What if your company name and advertising message could become a daily part of your customers’ lives? It could be you know! Give your customers top quality stylish gift pens this year and your message and logo could be with them for many years to come.

Often it is good to give your customers low cost but good quality plastic promotional pens. These can be given away by the handful and will help build your brand around busy offices where people are often looking for a pen.

If you really want to make a big impression with your top customers, however, you may want to look at a brand that has actually gained cult status in Europe and the UK. You must see the exciting range produced by Lamy Pens!

While the Lamy brand was only introduced during the 1950s, the company has actually been making quality writing instruments since the thirties. Some of the early models are highly prized by collectors, especially those engraved with period advertising. Made in Germany, each pen is engineered to perform flawlessly for many years. Many different styles are available, from classic fountain pens to contemporary roller-balls. Ballpoints, mechanical pencils, and highlighter/pen combinations are also available.

Consider your target recipients when making your selection. Preferences are going to differ by country but you are almost sure to find a Lamy

Lamy Noto Pens

The Lamy Noto is one of Lamy's popular low cost, excellent quality plastic promotional pens.

pen that will represent your business perfectly.

Ballpens are still the most popular in the U.S.  and the United Kingdom. Roller balls have gained in popularity in recent years, and are very popular in Europe and with those who want their signatures to have a bit more impact than that provided by a ballpoint. Fountain pens are often preferred by “baby boomers” and mechanical pencils are appreciated by those in the accounting and architectural industries.

All these writing instruments have been designed by Lamy. You have got to see them all!

In addition to your customers, you might consider giving promotional printed pens to your employees and vendors as Christmas gifts. An attractive executive pen is sure to be appreciated, and again you are able to place your message before more eyes. Lamy manufactures some very good quality plastic pens that are less expensive than their popular metal gift pens.

Do you remember a time when promotional engraved pens have not been popular? They have been one of the most widely used items since their invention. From what I have seen from Lamy lately, there are few gift pens that come close to them let alone equal them.

Promotional Engraved Pens for Christmas-Important Information for Perfect Promotions

Engraved promotional pens

At promotionalpens.co.uk we specialise in engraving promotional gift pens

Have you ever received an engraved executive gift pen? Promotional gifts do not come much better.

Engraved metal gift pens promote brands like few gifts can. Pens are needed and used daily. Metal executive pens are usually kept for years promoting your business all along the way!

As Christmas is quickly approaching, I want to give you a few tips along with some valuable information about what to consider when using good quality metal pens as Christmas and end of year gifts.

Promotional executive pens have been popular Christmas gifts for clients and employees for decades. In the old days this was done by a high speed rotating cutter that achieved magnificent results. This high quality engraving process was usually followed by hand-filling the engraving with an infill colour: this process was a true art in itself.

The main problem with these traditional engraving machines was that they were quite slow and setup times were long. This made engraving promotional metal pens a timely and expensive process.

Nowadays, laser engraving has become the norm. Laser engraving has improved immensely in the past few years. You should ask for a sample to see the quality for yourself as you will not be disappointed!

There are some major advantages to laser engraving pens.

  • The engraving process is much faster
  • Laser engraving is perfect for fine detail
  • Setup times are faster and therefore less expensive
  • Small and large orders can be accommodated

So whether you are buying promotional engraved pens for the masses or just a few top customers, laser engraved pens will work perfectly. It is important to note, however, that with laser engraving you are limited to the base colour of the pen though the engraving can be blackened on some pens if necessary to achieve the best results.

While you are considering what to engrave on your gift pens, I would like to leave you with some design advice.

One of my customers took months to choose his metal pens and design for engraving. Unfortunately he did not discuss the design with me first and we had to make some quick last minute changes.

When engraving, you need to try to keep your designs quite simple and in line of site. You do not want to have a design that wraps around the pen because it is not possible. Always check the engraving area before going to work on your design and you will save yourself time and money.

Have you ever given away engraved executive pens for Christmas or another event? How did it go? Why not share your experiences or thoughts by leaving a comment.
