Parker Jotter Pens

The Parker Jotter is a popular promotional giveaway!

Free promotional merchandise builds brands. Who wouldn’t want a free promotional Parker Pen or a new top quality shopper bag?

The trick is to offer the kinds of promotional gifts that people will both want to own and also need to use regularly.

Promotional pens are this type of promotional gift. They are always one of the top selling promotional gifts every year without fail. Everyone needs a pen regularly and each time a logo printed pen is used it is building the advertising company’s brand. Recently promotional pens have started to be used much more often to get people to subscribe to blogs.

I know this because I sell promotional pens every day of the week and have done for many years. I have seen all the trends from the early days of the internet when anyone and everyone had their email address printed on their pens to the recent trend to promote social networks.

Now as increasing numbers of people are using blogging to communicate and educate their customers, blog address are beginning to be printed much more often.

Following is an example of how one of my customers does it who is on what one might call the A list of bloggers.

Anyone who visits his website and registers on his site receives his company brochure and a free Prodir pen. Prodir is famous for their top quality plastic pens so they are a good low cost gift that people appreciate. These pens and for that matter his blog advertise that anyone who subscribes to his blog’s RSS feed will receive a Parker Jotter Steel Pen and Pencil Gift Set.

This is a generous gift and perhaps more than most people will want to spend but it works perfectly for him and achieves the results he wants.

You may have a new blog and want to test the water first. Why not try offering a free Prodir Pen to anyone who subscribes to your blog. This is a very inexpensive way to get your customers and target customers to get to know you better and read your posts.

An Extra Bit of Advice

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘subscribe?’ My customer made a point that could be of interest to you. When most people hear the word ‘subscribe’ they think of subscribing to a magazine or newspaper. What do you need to do when you subscribe to a magazine? Pay!

When you offer your free pen for subscribing to your blog’s RSS feed don’t use the word subscribe. Instead say something like ‘Follow my blog’s RSS feed and receive a free Parker Pen’ or ‘Join my blog’s RSS feed and receive a free pen.’ He changed his wording and saw instant results. I hope you do too.

So what do you think? Do you want to give it a go? What do you have to lose? Would you like to leave a comment and share your thoughts or experiences?

Promotional Pens – How to Find the Best Pen Brands for Your Marketing Needs

Monday, August 16th, 2010

How many popular pen brands can you think of on the spot?

Most of us know the major High Street brands such as Parker, Cross, Bic and Waterman. We have grown up with them and recognise these brands as being good value for money and no nonsense smooth writers. Each of these brands were popular with the general public long before they were made available for promotional purposes.

There are also many popular brands that you may not be familiar with if you have not purchased promotional pens in the past.

Each of the following well known brands look fantastic and have long writing lives for much more effective promotions. If you are not familiar with them, you owe it to yourself to ask for a few samples of the styles that you like. This will ensure you get the best pens for your money.

Senator Pens

Senator is probably the most popular manufacturer of promotional plastic pens. They also manufacture some quite attractive and nice metal gift pens. Senator manufactures their pens primarily in Germany but the have offices and production facilities worldwide. Senator Pens are known for their large print areas and innovative designs. So many companies achieved the results they wanted by using promotional Senator Pens.

Lecce Pens

Lecce Pens are not as well know as Senator but they offer some quite impressive and stylish pens. This Italian brand is seen worldwide. Personally, I love the smooth writing and innovative new designs they have on offer.

Prodir Pens

Prodir pens are loved by many but their slow production times let them down. If you want to purchase Prodir pens you will need to allow yourself at least five weeks. It is worth the wait if you have the time. Their designs are honestly some of the most impressive on the market.

Lamy Pens

I love Lamy pens. They are some of the most attractive pens currently on the market for promoting your brand. They specialise in pricy gift pens but also manufacture a nice range of plastic pens.

There are so many other popular brand and generic designs. If you do not know the brand ask for a sample. Remember that the way a pen looks on the page or on a website may be different to the actual product.

If there is one thing I want to leave you with it is that many of the generic brands are manufactured in the Far East. One design could be manufactured by several competing companies. The quality of the end product may therefore and often does vary. If you ask for a pen sample from one supplier and then order the same pen from another for cheaper, there is a good chance you will be let down by what you receive.

I hope I have answered and few questions for you in this article. Do you have any brands you like to use? I test brands regularly and would be happy to write about any brand you find of interest. Please leave a comment if you would like me to do so.

Promotional Parker Pens Make Excellent Employee and Client Gifts

Saturday, July 24th, 2010
Promotional Parker Vector Pens

The full colour version of the popular promotional Parker Vector Pens

Promotional Parker Pens can be printed with your important company logo or business name to become helpful employee gifts or customer incentives. Engraved metal gift pens, fun gel pens, and all types of ball pens are very desirable company gifts that are priced at budget-friendly prices. Promotional pens are practical gifts that are used and  on display in office buildings worldwide.

When companies choose to display their ad messages on a high quality Parker Pens, this speaks volumes towards their business. Elegant pens, like those from the well-known Parker Pen Company, put forth the feeling of longevity and style. Upper-tier businesses create their images through visual elements that speak well towards their company name. Desktop pens are highly visible advertising items that are often used to create a well-planned company image.

Promotional Parker Pens are popular globally. When our modern writing instruments were being developed over 100-years ago, the technology branched into three distinct styles of ink systems. There is the fountain pen that fills ink into an internal pen bladder. This style of pen is on the decline today in favour of the neater ballpoint pens and rollerball styles of classy office ink pens.

It is possible to get Parker Pens in fountain pen styles that include an inkbottle converter and ink cartridges that make them less messy to use. There are also the very popular and stylish Parker Jotter Pens, Parker Vector Rollerballs and numerous other smooth-flowing pen styles available. Rollerball ink pens offer a thinner formula of ink that is very popular in Europe. Rollerball ink delivery systems offer the written word in a format that is very durable over time.

The Parker Pens ballpoint pens are one of the most common styles of pens that are used in an office environment. Ballpoint ink pens are the favoured pen in America and the UK  due to the ink system that delivers an ink that dries almost instantly. As a rule-of-thumb, ballpoint ink should not be used on paperwork that is expected to last over 100-years. For all other styles of writing, the economical ballpoint ink delivery systems are perfect writing tools.

Promotional Parker Pens, Cross Pens, Waterman Pens, and the un-branded pens of similar quality are discounted at promotionalpens.co.uk.

Your Customers will Love Promotional Metal Gift Pens

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Sometimes it is good to sit back and think of those who have helped make your business the success it is today. Often it is easy to forget those who have been loyal to your business while actively looking for and seeking out new customers. Why not make today the day you begin to rekindle some of those old, important relationships and let your good customers know just how much they mean to you. For relatively little spend, promotional metal gift pens can help you to rejuvenate those tired relationships and renew your commitment to the customers that mean so much to you.

Promotional metal gift pens are usually handed out in person. Imagine handing your favourite customers a top quality metal pen. Can you see their smile and the suprize in their eyes? This is the reaction top quality gifts such as Parker, Cross and Lamy metal gift pens will bring. It is also the reaction that will help ensure your customers remain loyal to you.

The great thing about top quality promotional pens is that they do not need to be purchased in large quantities. This means you can often purchase as few as 25 or even 10 engraved with your logo. The unit price may be a bit higher than other gifts but the fact that you do not need to purchase hundreds will help keep the price down.

If you want to achieve maximum impact, ensure that the pens you purchase are supplied complete with good quality pen cases. The top brands such as Parker, Cross, Waterman and Lamy supply their pens in gift boxes as standard. If you are looking for something less expensive, you will want to ensure that the pen is either supplied in a nice pen case or that your supplier can source one for you. Pens supplied in good quality cases look better and make the presentation of your gift that much nicer.

If you are not a pen connoisseur, I recommend ordering a few samples.  At promotional pens.co.uk, we would be happy to assist you with samples and we can also recommend nice pens for your business requirements.

Motivating Top Employees with Brand Name Promotional Pens

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Promotional Pens can be a posh gift for top employees, especially when they are gifted in top quality boxed sets. Deciding to give your top employees a special gift can help them stay motivated to do their best and maintain top sales in a company. This article will offer 5 occasions to gift your top employees with brand name promotional pens.

1. Employees that Secure Top Monthly Sales
If an employee has consistently secured top sales in a given month, then gifting that employee with a high-quality pen is a wonderful idea. Promotional pens are polished and can be kept for many years. Employees will always remember the company that valued their service and may recommend your company for years to come.

2. Employees that Gain New Clients
Building a reputable list of clients for any business is a celebratory occasion that deserves the gifting of a brand name promotional pen. New clients may ultimately purchase your company’s products or services for 10, 20, or even 30 years into the future. Employees will feel appreciated and recognized by receiving a promotional pen commemorating their hard work.

3. Employees with Positive Attitudes
Morale is key to the success of any company. Perhaps there is an employee that never gives up in your company and remains optimistic no matter what the circumstances are. This employee should be recognized for the positive energy he or she brings, by receiving a promotional pen.

4. Award Dinners
Sometimes businesses will host award dinners to present personalized awards to each employee for his or her work throughout an entire year. Creating personalized certificates for these employees is a great way to make large businesses feel more like a community. At these special dinners, be sure to give employees promotional pens with a company logo on them, in addition to other gifts or certificates. Employees will never forget such a special occasion.

5. Employees with Inventive Ideas

Perhaps your employee thought of an idea to make assembling products for your company more efficient. Or, maybe your employee thought of a great investment opportunity to help your company survive the rough economy. Whatever the case is, be sure to reward employees that have productive ideas, a promotional pen.

Gifting promotional products within a company can often be as beneficial as giving promotional products to customers. Brand name promotional pens such as Lamy, Parker, Cross and Waterman will make your employees feel respected and more inspired to give their best work yet.

How to Get the Lowest Prices For Promotional Parker Pens

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Are you looking for excellent prices for top quality promotional Parker Pens? Are you wondering where to begin? If so, you are not alone. There are over 2000 promotional gifts distributors in the UK alone. Most are still paper heavy! That is to say they still pay for expensive printed catalogues and brochures which in the end their customers pay for. It would not be possible to go around asking for prices from each of the 2000 business gift suppliers nor would you probably want to. Prices for Parker promotional pens vary greatly, however, a little searching will ensure you are not paying over the odds for your promotional Parkers!

Start by doing a Google search. If you type ‘promotional pens’ into Google and the other search engines, you are sure to come up with a good list of suppliers. These are the suppliers who have invested in giving the shopper a pleasant internet shopping experience. They are the same companies who do not promote Parker Pens in expensive printed catalogues! Instead, they cut out the middleman and sell direct. Now, let’s take it all one step further and type in ‘Express Promotional Parker Pens’ into the search field. The companies at the top of the search have optimised their sites to ensure you know that they sell promotional Parker Pens and they can do it fast and at discounted prices. Why can they do this? Because they deal directly with the Parker Pen Company and do enough business with them that they can demand fast lead-times at prices the other printed catalogue companies could only dream of offering.

These internet big names are the same companies who have ensured that you can find a Parker Pen by name. It is easy to place a big picture of all the Parker Pens available on a website. This is lazy! It is another thing to offer them for less and explain in detail why each pen deserves to be looked at.

Why would anyone want to pay more just to deal with the traditional printed paper promotional gift catalogue companies? There are plenty of forward thinking companies out there that have been around since businesses started using the Internet and can save you a lot of money. Take advantage of this. If you have ever thought about using an Internet based company for your promotional merchandise, than why not start by purchasing a brand name pen. Parkers are Parkers! Everyone knows and recognises Parker Pens! Why pay more for the same pen from a promotional industry dinosaur when you can purchase the same pens from a promotional pens leader.

I hope this blog was of interest to you.  Please feel free to leave a comment.

Parker Sonnet Fountain Pens Make Spectacular Promotional Gifts

Saturday, March 20th, 2010
Parker Pens

The Parker Sonnet Fountain Pen

The Parker Sonnet range of pens is one of Parker’s most successful ever! If you are looking for top quality, classic fountain gift pens for your customers than you should definitely look very closely at the Parker Sonnet Fountain Pen. This popular writing instrument is available in several different finishes but the most common finish for promotional purposes is stainless steel with a chrome trim. Engraved with your logo and/or details, it is a real winner and will keep your clients thinking seeing your logo and details daily for years.

The Sonnet writes beautifully. In fact, I tested the pen for over a month and know of no other promotional fountain pen that compares for the price. It can be printed with your details or engraved. The print area is an amazing 30mm x 50mm on the barrel and 38mm x 45mm on the cap. That is more space than a lot of plastic promotional pens offer!

Recent studies have shown that people like writing with a heavy pen. Plastic promotional pens serve their purpose as excellent volume promoters but if you want to give your customers a gift you know they will use and cherish for many years, the Sonnet could be the pen for you.

If you allow yourself a little time, say four weeks and you want an even better gift pen, then you are in luck. The Sonnet is available in different more expensive finishes including a lacquered deep black option with 23 carat gold plated trim and nib and also a stainless steel version with similar 23 carat gold decoration.

You may also be interested to learn that you can special order the pen in a miniature handbag design and there is also a slim version.

These pens are not inexpensive. They are high quality writing instruments that you will want to test before you buy. This can of course easily be done by purchasing one on the high stress though you will probably get a better deal from a promotional pens supplier that specialises in metal gifts pens.

As with all Parker Pens, the Sonnet is supplied in a good quality presentation case. This is important. So many gift pens do not come supplied in any packaging and personally I feel this ruins the presentation. Parker’s gift box is just another special touch that makes this pen such an attractive business gift.

The Sonnet comes with blue ink as standard. Parker inks are formatted for superior performance and the company is know for the superior quality of its gift pens. Your customers will easily be able to purchase Parker fountain pen ink in a range of colours.

If you are interested in this or any of the pens at promotionalpens.co.uk, please contact me on 01642 782455.

Parker Pens For Promotion – Which Type is Suitable For Your Needs?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Many consumers, when deciding which type of pen may fit their corporate or organization image choose to stick with a reputable, well-known brand like Parker, safe in the knowledge that the pen will be appreciated by any recipient.

The most popular and least expensive option of the Parker Pens on the promotional gift market are the Parker Jotter Pens. These can usually be printed very quickly in up to 4 spot colours and are always supplied with a good quality Parker box. The top half of these is chrome with the lower half in either black, blue, red or white. If your logo is made up of more than 1 spot colour it would probably be prudent to opt for the version with a white trim.

There is also a stainless steel version of the Parker Jotter available. This is slightly more expensive than the standard Jotter Pens but could be worth the extra investment if you are handing these out to higher end clients.

If you have more time – approximately 3 weeks, Parker also offer the Parker Vector Wrap Rollerball Pen. This is a terrific pen as it can be digitally printed with a full colour total wrap. This gives an excellent effect and will make your pen design really stand out from the crowd on a product that will always be well received. What better way to launch a new catalogue or web site than have the images reproduced around a brand name pen?

The Parker Vector Rollerball is also available as a version that can be screen printed. It is available in black, blue, red or white and is again a great option if you are looking for a quality brand name pen.

Should your budget be slightly bigger, Parker’s mid-range pens are an excellent alternative. The IM Ballpen is a particularly well designed pen. It oozes class due to its weightiness and would be a much cherished gift of any recipient. It is available in 4 very stylish colours, black, blue, white or silver.

Finally in Parker’s mid range are the Urban Rollerball and Urban Ballpen. This again is a particularly well-crafted pen and if you want to add vibrancy to your promotional gifts both of these pens are available in a stylish pink colour as well as in black, blue and silver.

If you are thinking of brand name pens for your promotion then you should certainly look very closely at Parker’s range. We would be happy to assist you with your search for the perfect Parker Pen.

Promotional Pens – Would You Like a Parker With Your Order?

Saturday, January 9th, 2010
Parker Vector Rollerball Pens

The Parker Vector can now be Printed in full colour

An Insurance company has been advertising on daytime television in the UK for the past two years. The company is trying to attract the over 50s with their health insurance scheme claiming they will save them money and give the peace of mind knowing they will be fully insured should they fall ill.

During the one minute advertisement, the company claims four times that you will receive a free Parker pen just for requesting their full brochure! The presenter happily displays in his outreached hand a white Parker Vector Rollerball pen boldly printed with the insurance company’s logo each time he mentions the special gift.

This advert has been on the television for at least two years and it is testament not only to the popularity of promotional gifts as incentives but to the respect people have for this popular brand. Almost everyone knows the brand and they put it in the category of quality.

The pens would have been purchased in a large quantity to ensure that the insurance company had plenty of the much sought after gifts for the flood of brochure requests they were expecting and have no doubt received. The unit cost of each printed Parker would have been very low due to the quantity of pens purchased. But when you think of Parker pens, it is not so much about the cost of the product but the quality of the free gift you will receive. Even Parker’s least expensive ballpen the Parker Jotter is known by many for its smooth writing and quality appearance and feel.

This should say a lot to any company considering a similar marketing campaign. Whether you choose a Parker pen or another popular product to entice people to look at your products or services, good quality promotional gifts attract customers. Everyone loves a free gift but if you know your target audience and choose your promotional gifts carefully with them in mind, you will most likely find yourself with a lot of new customers.
