Promotional Gift Pens That Ooze Style- Check Out The Balmoral Ball Pen

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

Promotional metal gift pens - The Balmoral

Promotional Balmoral metal gift pens

Every so often we are contacted by someone looking for promotional gift pens. Often the person enquiring has no idea where to start. Name brand promotional pens such as Parker, Lamy and Cross usually come to mind but these promotional gift pens are not in everyone’s budget. Such was the case last January when the headmaster of a local school contacted us for advice

Steve wanted to offer the kids in his secondary school something to strive for. He saw promotional gift pens as a way of getting the students to buckle down and work. We delivered 250 Balmoral gift pens (pictured) to him at the beginning of February 2011 and the campaign has proved to be a tremendous success.

Balmoral metal gift pens are chunky with a quality twist action mechanism. Their low cost starting of around £2.00 is much lower than brand promotional gift pens but they look and feel like they are much more expensive.

Be sure to request a sample of our Balmoral promotional gift pens  if you think it could be right for your campain. There’s nothing like trying before you buy!

Anyway, back to how Steve used Balmoral promotional gift pens.

He asked his teachers to choose one student each week who did something extraordinary. This could be anything from doing very well academically or simply helping out in the class room or helping a new student get to know the school.

Each Friday at assembly, the Balmoral gift pens printed with the schools logo were handed out to the lucky students who earned them.

‘You wouldn’t believe the interest these promotional gift pens attracted!’ Steve said. ‘The majority of the students wanted one and set out trying to be one of the few students to receive one at the end of week assembly.’

Steve just recently placed an order for another 250. He told us how happy he was to have found a low cost metal pen that the students love and even want show off.

Balmoral pens are manufactured in brass so they are quite heavy like more expensive pen. They be printed on the barrel in an area of 30mm x 20mm. They can also be engraved.

These promotional metal gift pens can also be supplied in a selection of different presentation cases and pouches at a small additional cost. They also boast a Parker style refill that has a very long and smooth writing life.

Promotional metal pens

The new and stylish Knightsbridge metal pen.

The world of executive promotional metal pens is certainly changing! You can now purchase really good quality metal gift pens like the twist action Knightsbridge ball pen quite inexpensively! If you are looking for a mid range metal pen for around the £4.00 mark, then read on…

The Knightsbridge pen is new to our range of executive metal pens and it is already proving to be a major player. It is heavy and tends to stand out as the quality in the crowd as the executive pen that it is. It features a leatherette barrel with a lacquered metal finish.

I’m sure you can see from the picture that it is a lot of pen for the price.

When I mentioned that it sells for around the £4.00 mark, that was for small quantities of 100! As with any promotional pens, prices go down the more you purchase. We just sold 2000 to a customer for only £2.50 each!

The Knightsbridge has a high perceived value. It is not a brand name pen so you get a lot of pen for your money without having to pay extra for the brand.

If you like what you see in the picture here, then be sure to check out the Knightsbridge ball pen for yourself. We will happily supply samples so that you can write with and test these magnificent value pens for yourself.

These innovative promotional metal pens can also be supplied boxed which adds to the presentation and makes it a really eye-catching and stylish gift. Promotional metal pens like the Knightsbridge are perfect gifts for employees and top clients that will be appreciated and valued for a long time.

There is a rather small print area to the side of the clip. This is common in promotional metal gift pens.

When people receive a gift pen of this calibre they do not usually want a large logo screaming out at them. A small logo or web address will help your customers remember who gave them the gift while retaining the elegant style that is the Knightsbridge!

If you would like more information about the Knightsbridge gift pen or if you would like to see a sample, please contact us today on 01642 782455.

Promotional Plastic Pens vs Promotional Metal Pens- A Look at Both

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011
Promotional metal pens

The Electra aluminium pen is low cost and looks great!

Often I receive enquiries from people who are not really sure which type of promotional pens to purchase for their company or organisation. There are a lot to choose from – brand name pens and fashionable generic pens – metal and plastic promotional pens. I like to recommend looking at a few options rather than just purchasing off the page so that you can really get a feel for what you are purchasing. That said, let’s look at some of the different types of pens – namely plastic pens and metal pens that could be of interest to you.

Promotional Plastic Pens

Just because a promotional pen is manufactured out of plastic does not mean it is necessarily cheap. Some of the most popular promotional plastic pens are indeed considered to be – and are – executive giveaways that carry with them a great reputation and a high perceived value. Don’t steer away from plastic just because you are worried about how some people may perceive them!

Parker Pens, for example offer the Parker Vector Rollerball pen and the Parker Jotter pen.  Both of these promotional plastic pens are also available as metal pens but it is the plastic versions that really sell!

Lamy Pens – a popular pen manufacturer in Germany also supply a nice range of executive plastic pens.

Generally speaking, if you hand someone a cheap plastic pen that you are not proud to hand out, they probably will not use it much. Such plastic pens, however, are perfect for one day events and they are very popular with charities and banks that have a large audience to consider.

If you are purchasing personalised plastic pens for a small business you will want to look at some of the pens either by the before mentioned companies or possibly less expensive but very good quality pens by Senator Pens and Prodir Pens.

You could also consider printing your logo and details onto good quality generic pens.  These tend to be less expensive and many offer great value for money.

Promotional plastic pens that write smoothly, are nice to hold and look good will get used and promote your business for what could be a long and successful promotion.

Promotional Metal Pens

Metal pens have a higher perceived value though they are often less expensive the plastic options. If would like to give your customers promotional metal gift pens but you are on a tight budget you should check out our anodized metal pens such as the new and very popular Electra Metal Pen. the Clio Metal pens and the infamous Calypso metal pen.

Anodising is basically a process that allows aluminium pens to be coated with a accelerated oxide layer which increases the hardness of the aluminium. The finish looks absolutely spectacular!

The resulting metal pens are much less expensive than they look. These pens can be printed or engraved with excellent results.

If you are looking for more expensive promotional metal pens, you cannot go wrong by choosing the brands that are known for their stylish designs and attention to quality such as Parker metal pens, Cross pens, Waterman pens and the UK’s new favourite Lamy!

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or if you would just like a quick quotation or sample on 01642 782455.

How about Placing a Promotional Sentinel Pen in Your Christmas Cards

Friday, November 19th, 2010
Promotional Sentinel Pens

Promotional Sentinel Pens start at around £1.25 each.

Do you send Christmas cards to your customers every year? Many companies do as it is a great way to keep in touch and to thank them for their loyalty and support over the year. Sending Christmas cards is an excellent way to strengthen relationships but why not go one better this year? Have you seen the Sentinel Metal gift pen?

Sure there are many different promotional pens that you could send out with your cards but today I would like to focus on an old favourite. The Sentinel Metal Gift Pen looks fantastic and writes even better.

Sentinel gift pens are manufactured in aluminium and have an eye-catching lacquered finish with a nice comfort grip.

Sentinel gifts pens feature a push button mechanism and you have a choice of blue and polished silver finish or a matt silver and polished silver finish.

There is a nice large print area for your logo and details of 40mm x 16mm.

They look great printed but you can also have them engraved for that extra touch of class. The great news is that engraving doesn’t really add much to the price. It’s more of a personal thing. If you have a pantone you would like printed then print is the best. If a nice engraving is more your style than go for it!

As with most good quality gift pens, promotional Sentinel pens can be supplied in a gift box for added luxury and better presentation.

You will have your choice of inexpensive card cases and suede pouches which are perfect for sending through the post. You may even decide to opt for more substantial cases that are better for giving away in person.

One thing that is good about sending a personalised pen with your card is that pens are required daily and they will remain in your customers possession long after the card has been thrown away. I still use a similar pen daily that was sent to me last Christmas by a supplier.

Express printing is rarely a problem but if you are purchasing these gift pens for a special occasion or in time for Christmas you should order early. Lead-times can be longer especially during the Christmas season!

So what are you waiting for? Why not take a look at the Sentinel pen. If you like the look, ask for a sample and get that Christmas time promotion on the road.

3 Ways to Use Promotional Pens as Exhibition Giveaways

Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Promotional pens are the most popular promotional gifts in the UK. They are useful at the office and at home. This offers massive advertising potential. If you are considering exhibiting this year, you no doubt want to increase brand awareness and ultimately your profits. Using personalised logo printed pens will help you to realise this goal. Pens help get the results you want.

In this article I would like to introduce you to three steps you can take to get the most of your promotional pens on the exhibition stand.

Decorate your stand with colour coordinated promotional gifts

So often promotional pens are purchased in a hurry. Last year 72% of the orders placed at promotionalpens.co.uk were from people needing pens in fewer than five days.

Express printed pens are a major part of my business but there are limitations. You will get much better value for your money if you take some time to choose your pens and colour coordinate them with your exhibition stand.

Many pens can be made to order and you can actually select the barrel and trim colours so that they look like they were made with you business in mind.

Use Promotional Pens to Build Your Company Image

Colour coordinating your pen colours is not the only way to make a big impact. To get the best results you will want to really think about your design and find the best pens for it. Many pens can be printed in full colour which could be just what you require. Other pens have nice large print areas on the clip and barrel.

The most important thing to consider if you want to emit a professional and positive impression is to ensure that your pens are good quality. Most promotional pens that can be made to order are – but it never hurts to write with your pen of choice for a while to ensure it will represent your company in a way you want it to be represented.

Give Away Gift Pens to Qualified Guests

I often recommend giving away a special pen to qualified customers. Everyone will get a plastic pen to leave your stand with but those who show real promise can be given something a little nicer.

Send them on their way with a bag full of your company brochures and a good quality Lamy gift pen. Your target customers will love you for it and may just remember you next time they need your products and/or services.

Promotional Pens and Folders are Perfect Business Gifts for Bloggers

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Do you know someone who blogs? Chances are in this day and age you know a few. Perhaps they work within your organisation or they are customers who promote your products through their carefully chosen words. Have you ever considered promoting your business by sending them a good quality gift pen and note pad?

After all, it is the useful promotional gifts that do their job the best.

As you are reading this article you probably know that I blog quite often. I write at least four blogs each and every day. They help promote my products and services. Unfortunately the ideas for my blogs rarely come to me when I am sitting in front of my handy iPad.

No, they usually come in the middle of the night or when I am late for a meeting. I don’t think I am alone here. Anyone who blogs will know that ideas can come at the most inconvenient of times.

So quite cheekily I am going to say to my promotion pen suppliers that if you really want me to know and promote your products, why not send me a nice pen and folder for Christmas?

Okay, let’s get back on track – this article is not about me and what I want – it’s about you and what your blogging colleagues and customers might really need.

Offering someone who writes a lot a good quality Lamy or Parker pen along with a nice quality note pad or even leather conference folder will help ensure you and your business are literally in their hands and thoughts each and every day.

Your business will be there when they wake in the night full of ideas without a computer in sight. Your business will be their in that traffic jam when they come to a stop and have that idea that is sure to go viral. Your business will be there each and every time they jot down a new headline for their next big article.

Marketing is changing. The world is changing and increasing numbers of people are writing their way out of the hard times. They are sharing their expertise with the world, turning their backs on interruption based advertising like telemarketing and actually doing something that helps the readers of their blogs.

Do you want to be part of that? Of course you do. Start looking for a good quality gift pen and note pad. Have them branded with your logo and details and you will most certainly see an excellent return on your investment.

I already know whose products I am going to try to promote. How about your customers? Do you think such a nice gift this Christmas time could make them think of you next time they need your products and services?

Promotional Products for Promoting Exclusive Holiday Resorts

Sunday, November 7th, 2010

Promotional gifts are available in many different shapes and forms. If you are trying to promote exclusive holiday destinations or a company that deals with that industry you will want to carefully consider which gifts will give you the best return on your investment. These are the good quality promotional products that are both useful and eye-catching.

High end businesses and direct customers will normally expect good quality promotional products. I would like to let you in on one promotional that I was involved with which went down spectacularly well.

I was contacted by an agency who was handling the promotional marketing of a top of the line cruise company.

They were in charge of ensuring the passengers felt welcome and looking at ways the cruise company could make more money through printed promotional merchandise in the ship boutiques and shops.

Again, the best gifts are those that are both eye-catching and useful. My customer ordered good quality Lamy Safari pens and note pads branded with the cruise ship logo. These were placed in each cabin which was a nice touch for the guests.

They also ordered several thousand promotional earthenware mugs. These black mugs were printed with the cruise companies logo in gold. Every cabin had two mugs and a kettle. The free gifts made excellent souvenirs that people could take home with them.

In the shop passengers could purchase similar mugs that were printed with real gold metal. The effect looked amazing. They were sold as single mugs and also as part of a four mug and teapot set. They were extremely popular.

People who pay a lot of money for such dream holidays want to purchase products to remember their experiences. Popular gifts that were also on sale were logo printed aromatherapy sets, good quality embroidered polo shirts, umbrellas, crystal ships decanters and of course executive metal pens from brands such as Parker, Cross and Lamy.

Do you think your customers are the type of customers who would appreciate good quality gifts? You will be spoilt for choice if you look online. Most promotional merchandise is manufactured in the Far East but there are some really good quality gifts manufactured in Europe, the UK and US that are definitely worth checking out.

Don’t be afraid to ask for samples. Even the more expensive promotional products can usually be sent to you for a few days to review. This is a good idea that will help ensure you choose the best promotional products to represent your business.

Are Promotional Lamy Pens Best for Your Business Marketing Purposes?

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

Have you seen the selection of promotional pens manufactured the German pen company Lamy? They are a personal favourite of mine but whether they are right for you is up to your customer personas and what you are trying to accomplish with your promotional gifts.

First let’s look at what you are trying to accomplish by giving your customers promotional products. Sure it would be nice to give them all a stylish pen that they can use but will that pen get you the results you want?

It is so easy to throw money at marketing campaigns in the hope that it builds your brand. Often times people come to me saying they want to send their customers a promotional product with the hope of getting them to register on their website or to sign up for their monthly e-shot.

Although these are good ideas, the ultimate goal is often overlooked: to increase their turnover.

This is what you need to consider when you are choosing top quality promotional gifts such as Lamy pens. Sure handing your customers a nice pen that looks fantastic will get you noticed but will it increase your turnover?

Often the answer is definitely yes! If you have customers who are the top decision makers and you hand them the beautiful Lamy Dialog 2 Rollerball, the gesture will help demonstrate just how much your appreciate them and their custom. This useful gift, engraved with your logo and details, will help remind them of you and your business whenever it is used. In fact, they will probably keep in on their desktop and show it off from time to time.

Most importantly, they will have your details to hand when they next require your products or services.

Now let’s look at another type of customer. Let’s say Rick is the receptionist at one of your best customer’s office. Rick often sends you sales leads and tells new staff about you and the products and services you supply.

Rick types a lot and is just as happy with a good quality plastic pens as he is with a metal gift pen. If the pen writes when he needs it to write then he is happy. For him you may want to look at other good quality gifts that he will use daily that will work as daily reminders of your business.

You may like to give him a large selection of promotional Senator plastic Super Hits pens that he can use and give away to other staff. Note pad, rulers, fabric mouse mats and pen pots may also be great gifts that will get your name and brand in front of the people you deal with daily.

If you are interested in promotional pens then I strongly recommend looking into Lamy pens for those you are sure will appreciate them. Don’t just throw money at people in the hope that they will do more business with you.

Often it is the inexpensive gifts offered regularly and in quantity that work better than the corporate executive gifts like the Lamy Dialog 2 pen.

Choosing the Best Promotional Pens

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

Promotional pens are sure to grab the attention of people of all ages and backgrounds. After all, pens are always in need.

Give out promotional pens and you can definitely get the word out about a group, event, or message in no time at all, especially if you are creative and play around with different designs and looks for these products.

Following are a few tips about how to be unique in your promotional pen promotion.

Before you place an order, take the time to design eye catching and memorable pens. You should always think about the type of pen you want to promote or give away to people.

You my like to look into the many mix-n-match colour options. Choosing the colours of the barrel and trim can really made the pens look like they were manufactured just for you.

Click-type pens and felt-tip pens are as useful as the classic ball point pens. Think about your preferences when you design these promotional items. Would your customers prefer Rollerballs or highlighters?

You may also like to look into the styles and personalisation options offered by the name brands such as Parker, Cross and Lamy.  Some of the top quality pens can even be manufactured in your corporate Pantones.

The look and feel of the promotional pen is what will make it unique. Style is a big part of the look but so much comes down to the colours your choose and what you print on them.

It is also important to consider how you give your promotional pens away. You could give them to people who visit your trade show stand or give expensive gift pens to those who can answer an test question about your product range.

Always think about what you are trying to promote when thinking about how to give out these items. For example, if you are promoting a business, you may want to include coupons with the pens or to give them to people when they make a purchase.

If you are trying to get the word out about an upcoming event or concert, you could bust out limbo stick and give pens to folks who give the game a try.

The important thing is to take your time, plan your event and your pens and the excellent results will come.

Be creative with the design of your promotional pens so that they are eye catching and say what you need them to say. A pen is a useful tool when it comes to promoting or marketing something. Be creative with how you give out these pens so that people actually take the time to look at and save them. Unique promotional pens are an inexpensive investment, which makes them low risk, that is sure to get the job done.
