2000 plus words today and I must say I could keep writing with this pen! The Cross Calais pen is a joy to write with and here I will tell you why. If you are looking for an excellent quality name brand pen this is a good place to start.

Having recently written with and tested the Cross Stratford pen I was looking forward to seeing how this slightly more expensive pen compared.

The body is quite chunky: chunkier than the Stratford. I prefer writing with chunky pens though this is really down to personal preference. I certainly had no problem writing with the sleeker Stratford but the Cross Calais was easier and more comfortable for me to use.

The writing quality is what you would expect from a world famous name brand pen. The Cross Calais is a smooth writing pen. The writing line is slightly thicker than the Stratford. Which you prefer is down to personal preference though I doubt anyone will complain if you happen to present them with one of these top quality pens!

Today I am going back to my writing roots. Back to the days before computers were widely used. Back to my college years when I would write all of my papers with a pen before spending my hard earned money to pay someone to type them for me.

It seems like so long ago that I actually wrote a lot of text with a Cross pen though I sell them on a daily basis.

I write blogs and articles every day, usually on my iPad. This amounts to approximately 2000 word per day. Today I am writing all of my blogs with the new Cross Statford pen. This is my last article of the day and once again I am discovering what makes the Cross brand so popular.

I am currently writing this text with the plastic pen I normally use. The writing line is much thicker and the pen is louder when I write with it.

Back to the Cross Stratford and the writing is much smoother and the line finer. You can hardly hear the pen as I write. It is also a nice weight.
